How your brain’s executive function works

You use your brain’s executive function every day — it’s how you do things like pay attention, plan ahead and control impulses. Can you improve it to change for the better? 1. Thank you so much for sharing this TED Talk on executive function! One of my favorite psychological experiments that she mentions is the marshmellow experiment, because it shows on a basic level how delaying instant gratification can be beneficial in obtaining more desirable long-term goals, which I feel is analogous to so many life situations. I write about executive function and how it relates to well-being in my own post. It is inspired by my interest in positive psychology, which asks what it means to live a meaningful and fulfilling life from a scientific perspective. Feel free to check it out sometime and I welcome any contributions you have to the content. Thanks for sharing this great resource and I hope you are doing well!
