It’s already happening!
In case you haven’t heard of him, here’s some data from the Wikipedia:
Christian Mate Pulisic (Croatian: Kristijan Mate Pulišić [kri:sti:jan mǎːte pu:li:ʃitɕ]; born September 18, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga as well as the United States national team.[5][6] Pulisic is considered by many to be the top American soccer prospect,[7] and is the youngest player to represent the senior national team in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. His rapid rise with the U.S. youth national teams has been mirrored by his rapid rise through the Borussia Dortmund academy, where he played just 15 games before being brought into the first team during the 2015–16 winter break.[8]
In April 2016, he became the youngest foreigner to score a goal in the Bundesliga.[9] Later that month, he became the youngest player ever to score two goals in the Bundesliga.[10] On May 28, 2016, he scored in an international friendly against Bolivia to become the youngest player in the modern era to score a goal for the United States at 17 years 253 days old. On September 2, 2016, he became the youngest American player to score a goal in World Cup qualifying history at 17 years, 349 days.

This guy gives Americans another big reason to love Bundesliga soccer. When I’m not watching Thomas Muller, I’m watching him…
