Eight boys saved from flooded Thai cave as challenging rescue efforts continue
Four more boys have been saved from a flooded Thai cave following rescue efforts to extract the young group and their football coach, bringing the total to eight. On Sunday, the first four boys were removed from the cave by divers before being taken to hospital. ITV News Correspondent Debi Edward, who is currently at the scene in Chiang Rai, said ambulances came to take each boy to safety. The second phase of the painstakingly executed rescue mission started at 11am local time. 90 divers and cave experts line the 2.5 mile route that the boys must navigate with support to find their way out of the cave’s tunnels.
