Magic To Do

Ahhh, Mimi! How can I NOT reblog a post that features not only Brene Brown, but also Pippin — one of my favorite musicals of all times! It’s a classic hero’s journey that ends in love and its heartwarming message has been long overlooked. Thank you for reminding me of how much I love it. I’ll have to go listen to the album again now…

    1. I’m listening to the original cast recording right now!!! As soon as I saw your title I immediately ‘hoped’ the post had something to do with Pippen. :-D

I’ve been listening/relating to it since college and that was over 30 years ago. Classic journey of the protagonist discovering that what was most important was with him all along and the original cast is soooo talented. Thanks, Mimi! When did you ‘discover’ Pippen?

      1. My high school boyfriend took me to see the original on Broadway. The benefit of being from the city, I had the luxury and gift of being able to see a lot of theater and became a junkie (of sorts)..Still am, though it’s harder to indulge these days since I no longer live there..

      2. Jealous. I saw it in a small theatre production at the University of Illinois in 1983 thanks to Jennifer Everett [wherever she may be]. I bought the vinyl and I have listened to it hundreds of times since then. Got to find my corner of the sky, right? :-D
