Morning Prayer

Dear Lord,
So far I’ve done all right.
I haven’t gossipped,
haven’t lost my temper,
haven’t been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or overindulgent.

It was one of the most conflicted moments in my life. I wanted to stand up and wave to everyone to thank them for their support, but at the same time I was very much enjoying having my own little surprise, secret birthday party anonymously. I’m glad I chose to keep my identity a secret that night.

Today I am celebrating my third sober birthday. Once again I am heading over to California to celebrate with people who will have…
