Documentaries That Changed the Way I Think About Food

For me, the shift in my way of thinking about food began after I saw the movie Food, Inc. It was a big slap in the face to all my beliefs about food because, like many, I was so far detached from where it came from. And even after watching Food, Inc, I was still in denial. 

At least I was, until I walked into my local supermarket. I clearly remember looking at the perfectly packed shelves, lined with processed foods and thinking, “This is so far from food.”

  1. The way that I say it is that without self-acceptance your spiritual path is spiritual entertainment at best. I mean you might as well watch a movie and just observe someone else going through a transformation. It’s so true. I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to “change” or “fix” myself. And what I’ve concretely come to understand is that The Path is not so much about changing or fixing ourselves as it is accepting ourselves. Acceptance of who you REALLY are is the beginning of a brand new life. And not who you are on a personality level. Who you are on a SOUL level. That is to say – you are a Divine child of The Uni-verse, and when you accept that – you claim your Divine birthright, everything changes. This doesn’t mean your life will be showered in riches, but it does mean that you will begin to live a path that is in alignment with your highest creative potential.
    Without self-acceptance self-help won’t work!

Watch: The helmet-cam footage of Felix Baumgartner’s space jump

You’ve probably seen the jump before, says Glenn Davis at Sportsgrid. But not like this. This first-person footage, taken from a camera mounted to Baumgartner during the jump, “goes a long way toward humanizing the ‘falling white dot’ blur portion” of the initial video. Baumgartner is certainly more fearless than you or I will ever be. “Truly terrifying stuff,” says Jesus Diaz at Gizmodo. “And awesome too.” How he ever managed to gain control of his body  after tumbling like that is beyond me.
