Daily Affirmations for Wealth and Abundance‎

pablo-2

“The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car… a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.” ~ Ben Sweetland

If you look at nature, you will realize that wealth and abundance are present all around us. And since we are all part of nature, wealth and abundance are also part of us. Wealth and abundance are our birthright, just as love and happiness are. By using these daily affirmations, you will reclaim your inner power, and your right for truth, love, happiness, wealth and abundance.

The modern way of saying “I love you”

If our goal is to create a happy lifelong relationship, it is critical that we assess not only chemistry, but also character. This requires that we develop a model for how to assess character in a potential partner. I was given permission to create and post on my website a profile of an emotionally safe person based on the book “Safe People” by Cloud and Townsend. Many of my clients have used this targeted assessment as a tool to help them assess the character of potential partners. While this permission does not extend beyond posting it on my personal website, you can access it here, at no charge and with no strings whatsoever attached.

The Daily Mixer Lets You Read the News Before You Know the Source

Tired of having Google and Facebook pick your news for you? Try this…

The site takes the RSS feeds of thirteen different news outlets across the political spectrum and puts them on a single feed with no labels for where the stories came from. Healthy Dependency

“Let’s face it: whether or not we like to phrase it this way to ourselves, we depend on one another: we form groups, become part of teams and even create our own families, biologically or otherwise. We do things with others in hopes of creating positive regard, harmonious and useful working relationships, as an expression of kindness or, perhaps, love; and even to have a positive impact on the world beyond our own lives. When functioning this way with focus on agreed-upon tasks, we become interdependent while, at the same time, able to achieve more than we could by ourselves. Even capitalistic economic systems require cooperation at least as much as they require competition.”

To be on the level with the dust of the earth,

this is the mysterious virtue.

~ Marion Milner, A Life of One’s Own (1934)

Notes:

  • Inspired by another passage by Marion Milner:

I thought: this ‘inner fact’ – is it really so mystical? Isn’t it just the astonishing fact of being alive – but felt from the inside not looked at from the outside – and relating oneself to whatever it is?

cat-stretch-fall-autumn

Complete relaxing never happened all at once. I found that it was a matter of at least five or ten minutes before the body would reach a profound repose. So I made a rule for myself, that as long as I felt an impulse to get up or turn over, then I had not lain long enough, but as soon as I felt I had never wanted to move again, then it was all right to get up at once. But I usually did not, I lay still for a little longer, lay still, while all the cells of my body came alive, like parched earth after rain. And then I discovered the most fitting end to my rest – a long cat-like stretch, which leaves one so at peace with the world, smooth and shining like wet sands, that it is worth indulging in deliberately, even when not prompted…

What Version Do You See?

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche once wrote that we see things as ‘versions’ of what they really are; our habits of mind gently obscuring the truth from harsher focus. We wish them to be that which suits our will. Whether that view is one kindness and appreciation; gratitude for the blessing of a moment shared. Or, encompassing the legacy of a lasting pain; years of stories shared upon the pages of sorrow and isolation. Either way, we can not experience as separate from our own sense of being. All of this life bears the influence of everything we are and dare hope to be. Do you see sadness? Look again – can you not see the faces of those who love you unconditionally?

Wingsuit Flyer Gets Too Close To Canopy And Smacks Straight Into A Tree

Eric Dossantos flew straight through an 8-inch wide tree trunk, snapping the top 20 feet clean off. He should have died, but he didn’t. Instead, he woke up in the hospital with little memory of the incident and no major injuries.

So you aren’t Tolstoy or St. Francis
or even a well-known singer
of popular songs and will never read Greek
or speak French fluently,
will never see something no one else
has seen before through a lens
or with the naked eye.

You’ve been given just the one life
in this world that matters
and upon which every other life
somehow depends as long as you live,
and also given the costly gifts of hunger,
choice, and pain with which to raise
a modest shrine to meaning.

~ Leonard Nathan, “So?”
