Do our actions define us?
Good read from a blog worth following…
It’s not who you are underneath, it’s what you do that defines you.Â
I have always loved this quote from Batman Begins. There is a lot of truth in it. But when you think about this quote deeply, you realize that something is missing. It’s true that we can talk big but what ultimately matters is what we do about our dreams, ideals and promises. But do actions tell us everything?
Let’s say there are two people: A and B. Both help others as much as they can. On surface, their actions look similar but their intentions could be completely different. The Power of Moments: Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact
This looks interesting!
Sometimes by David Whyte
Sometimes
if you move carefully
through the forest,
breathing
like the ones
in the old stories,
who could cross
a shimmering bed of leaves
without a sound,
you come to a place
whose only task
is to trouble you
with tiny
but frightening requests,
conceived out of nowhere
but in this place
beginning to lead everywhere.
Requests to stop what
you are doing right now,
and
to stop what you
are becoming
while you do it,
questions
that can make
or unmake
a life,
questions
that have patiently
waited for you,
questions
that have no right
to go away.
