Yes…

When people talk about caring for their minds and bodies, you usually hear the phrase “treat your body as a temple”. Personally, I do not prescribe to this philosophy. Instead, I prefer to treat myself like my own beloved child. I think this is much more realistic and forgiving. Temples are sacred, perfect and pure. Humans are messy, flawed and complicated. By remembering this, I strive to care for myself to the best of my ability.
