On Friday the 13th this month, Ray Kurzweil took the stage at TED 2018 in Vancouver to talk about his latest work at Google. Their latest service, Talk to Books, allows you to, well, talk to books. And not just a few books. More like the 100,000+ volumes available in Google Books.

When people talk about caring for their minds and bodies, you usually hear the phrase “treat your body as a temple”. Personally, I do not prescribe to this philosophy. Instead, I prefer to treat myself like my own beloved child. I think this is much more realistic and forgiving. Temples are sacred, perfect and pure. Humans are messy, flawed and complicated.
